Virtues are an interesting way to make your character unique in Lord of the Rings Online. Maybe you want more Agility to improve your Burglar or more Might to increase your Champions damage. There are a number of Deeds which will give you access to certain Virtues.
Unlike your normal skills, these must be applied by finding a Bard in any of the established towns (check your mini-map if you are unsure). They do cost money to add so make your choice carefully unless you just have money sitting around to burn. There are limits to how many you can apply at once but as you advance you'll be able to utilize more.
While the bonuses these Virtues provide are nominal, once you begin to add them all up they are quite a worthwhile addition to your skills.
Virtues are gained through Deeds which vary from area to area. The are two types of Deeds: Exploration and Monster Slaying.
Exploration Deeds are a combination of quest completions in certain areas, discovering certain points on the maps, or interacting with a set of objects in various places (inevitably dangerous areas). You'll also notice some of these are in stages like Advanced and Final. You will have to complete the preceeding Deed in order to try the others.
Monster Slaying is exactly what it sounds like. These are normally discovered by killing a creature for the first time. You will receive the Deed asking you to wipe out a certain number of them and these can also be found in stages. |
